Enema Kit
Lots of different kinds and brands of enema kits are available in the market nowadays. You can it in some local store or on lots of websites. Choosing a good enema that is suitable, safe and cheap is not an easy job. However, it is possible to learn how to do it with a few simple tips.
If you are reading for tips to choose a good enema kit, start read the following:
A normal enema kit consists of a bag, pinch clamp or stopcock and a nozzle or rectal tip. Some enema kits use bucket instead of bag. Which enema equipment to have in your enema kit is really up to you. However, I usually bucket or bag that are able to contain 2 litres of liquid. While choosing a good enema kit, consider the following points too:
1. Container must be easy to clean and not “age” with use.
Enema bag usually suffers from both. It is not easy to clean the inside of enema bag because the hole that allows us to enter liquid is too small to enter something to clean it. After using for months, you might need to change some of the components. Stainless steel containers are preferable because it is much easier to clean and it doesn’t “age”. However, it usually comes with a high price too. I personally use enema bag and it won’t be affected much even after using it for months.
2. Tube should be latex-free and transparent.
The enema tube or douche tube is preferably latex free and transparent because it allows you to see the liquid moving through the tube. It also allows you to make sure that you are not infusing liquid into your body.
3. Adjustable ‘pinch’ clamp
There should be an adjustable ‘pinch’ clamp to manage the liquid flow. This allows you to reduce the wastes of liquid and make the process of enema more comfortable and effective.
4. Enema nozzle should be strong, smooth and unbreakable with an easy regulaor mechanism.
This allows you to adjust the liquid flow. A valve attachment as a safety back up is highly recommended. The colon tube or enema insertion tip should be sterilized to ensure no bacteria infection will happen. It is also preferably replaceable as well as latex-free.
5. The enema kit should be simple and easy to use.
Enema kits or enema equipment are not complicated and hard to use at all.
These points will equip you before getting your own enema kit.
